Marion Matthews joined the SRJC Agriculture and Natural Resources faculty in Spring 2015 and teaches Introduction to Environmental Conservation. Marion has over 30 years of public and private service focused on environmental and species protection. She retired from the US Forest Service as Assistant Special Agent in Charge, and has additionally worked for California Department of Fish and Wildlife as a Fish and Game Warden and UC Berkeley for their Animal Care and Use Committee. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management Research, and multiple law enforcement credentials. Marion has taught throughout the United States, internationally, as well as at the SRJC Public Safety Division Police and Park Service Ranger Academies. She enjoys and believes in protecting the wild and is a current emergency responder with her K-9 dog Marach for Search and Rescue of lost persons with the California Rescue Dog Association and Marin County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue.
