This Fall 2023 semester, Johnny Campbell joins the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department at the Santa Rosa Junior College as the new full time Agriculture Instructor and Sustainable Agriculture Program Coordinator. Johnny was born and raised in Santa Rosa and has long been integrated in the region’s agricultural community. Johnny has studied agriculture at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, and the Santa Rosa Junior College. He has conducted research on soil fertility management with a focus on soil physical properties and soil health. Johnny also founded Campbell Family Farm, a dry farmed vegetable operation in Santa Rosa.

Johnny has extensive experience in agriculture education and has taught at Johnny has also taught agriculture courses at SRJC, UCD Davis, College of Marin, and CSU Stanislaus. Most recently, Johnny has served as the Manager of the College of Marin's Organic Farm for the past 6 years. Johnny is excited to take his farm management, research, and education experience to Santa Rosa Junior College. He looks forward to cultivating students’ skills and passions and helping them reach their goals in the workforce and academia.
