Wendy began her work with the SRJC Ag/NR Department as staff, coordinating the Shone Farm garden from 2000-2007. During this time she also started teaching Sustainable Ag classes as Adjunct Faculty. Her training in organic farming and gardening began at UC Santa Cruz in 1976, where she graduated the prior year with a degree in biology. She has been working on organic farms and garden projects ever since, including 10 years managing variety trials for Shepherd's Garden Seed Company. Wendy also managed the Felton Farmers Market for 10 years. She is active with the Community Alliance with Family Farmers, the Sonoma County Food System Alliance and other ag and environmental organizations. Wendy has home garden and orchard clients and enjoys working with fruit trees, food production, soil and habitat.
